Yesterday I went to a workshop about "Aging in place." One of the very fine four speakers had me enthralled. While he was talking about how he was going to reach his goals in the senior market I made a decision.
Some of you at least remember one of our first goals is to help 45,000 seniors. Well, to reach that goal more quickly and efficiently we are going to open branch offices in either large cities or counties.
They will be staffed by volunteers, not necessarily by just one all the time. It may take 5, 6, 7 or 8 people to fill all the time slots. Following our own procedures, after you have chosen your hours, days and job function you may change hours, days or job function at any time just by letting us know.
It will be a regular office with the normal tools. We will supply a manual with forms, procedures and resources. We will be your backup 24/7. There will be costs for some programs and supplies. There will also be revenue sharing through six different areas. During the first part of 2010 there will be webinars, some for our clients and some for our volunteers.
